I carried trauma long before I ever named it. The job taught me to bury the pain and keep moving, even as the sleepless nights, anger, and constant scanning took over. When PTSD finally surfaced, it hit hard — forcing me to face everything I thought I had been outrunning. I didn’t fold. I confronted the damage, learned the truth about trauma, and rebuilt from the inside out. That fight is the backbone of Protect the Protector — lived experience turned into purpose, standing with responders the way I once needed someone to stand with me.

PTSD entered their lives without warning, and neither of us knew what it meant at first. Jera faced confusion, fear, and the unknown — but she chose to learn instead of withdrawing. She became a student of trauma, of patience, and of what it means to support someone through battles you can’t see. Her journey is one of courage, compassion, and unwavering presence

We’ve been pushed to the edge and forced to rebuild from the inside out. Trauma didn’t break us — it forged us. Today, our marriage stands stronger because we chose to fight for each other when it would’ve been easier to pull away. That commitment is the backbone of Protect the Protector. The way we learned to stand together is the same way we stand with others now — steady, honest, and all‑in.

Protect the Protector stands on one immovable truth: God is our Creator. Jesus Christ is our Lord.
He does not need our platform. He does not need our spotlight. But we need His strength, His authority, and His presence.
We believe:
We are not here to elevate ourselves. We are here to be a light He can use — steady, bold, and unmistakable.
Protect the Protector is not a brand. It is a calling. And our allegiance is to God alone, In Christ alone, through Faith Alone.
May every protector who encounters this mission feel His strength through us — not because of who we are, but because of who He is.
